How we work. Two engagement models. Same standards.

Whether you're hiring us for ongoing managed services or for a project buildout, the engagement follows a defined path with clear deliverables at each stage. Here's exactly how each one runs.

Two paths through the door.

The Newgentek Way is for clients hiring us for ongoing managed services: your environment becomes our environment, and we run it with you over years. The Newgentek Build is for clients hiring us for a discrete project: a buildout, a multi-site rollout, a major upgrade. The work is different, but the same accountability standard applies to both. The structure is what differs.

The Newgentek Way.

Our five-step path for managed services engagements. The specifics adapt to your environment, but the structure, the deliverables, and the accountability are the same whether you're a 25-person firm or a 200-person multi-site operation.

  1. Discover
    Typical duration: 7–14 days
    What happens.
Before we change anything, we listen. We meet your team: leadership, operations, whoever touches IT. We inventory your environment top to bottom: workstations, servers, networks, applications, cloud services, vendor contracts, security posture. We review how things work today and where the friction is. We take notes. A lot of notes.
    What you get.

    • A documented inventory of your IT environment
    • A risk assessment with prioritized findings
    • An initial technology roadmap
    • Introductions to your Newgentek team, the people you'll actually be working with
      Who you'll work with.
Chon (Founder & CEO), Jason (Chief of Staff), and your dedicated Technology Alignment Specialist.
  2. Stabilize
    Typical duration: 30 days
    What happens.
This is the "quietly fixing things" phase. We deploy our monitoring, security, and management tools across your environment. We remediate the highest-priority findings from Discovery: the things that have been quietly breaking or should never have been configured that way. We bring your environment up to the Newgentek standard, so from here on, everything runs on the same foundation.
    What you get.

    • Remote monitoring and management deployed across all endpoints
    • Email and endpoint security active
    • Backups configured, tested, and verified
    • Network monitoring live
    • Critical risks from Discovery remediated
    • A documented stabilized environment
  3. Support
    Ongoing, starting around day 45
    What happens.
This is the day-to-day engine. Tickets are routed to a dedicated support team that already knows your environment. Average response time is under 5 minutes. When something can't be solved remotely, we dispatch onsite. Your team knows your Newgentek people by name, starting with your Customer Success lead.
    What you get.

    • 24/7 helpdesk: live technicians, average response under 5 minutes
    • Onsite dispatch when needed
    • Weekly service review
    • Monthly reporting on ticket volume, response times, and system health
  4. Optimize
    Quarterly, ongoing
    What happens.
Every quarter, we sit down with your leadership for a Technology Strategy Checkpoint. Your vCIO walks you through the last 90 days: what we've done, what we've seen, where the risks are, and what the next 90 days should look like. The roadmap gets updated. Budget recommendations get refined. This is where technology stays aligned with where the business is going.
    What you get.

    • Quarterly Technology Strategy Checkpoint (onsite when possible)
    • Updated technology roadmap
    • Budget recommendations for the coming quarter
    • Risk register review
  5. Scale
    As needed
    What happens.
When your business grows (a new office, an acquired company, a new market) we replicate the standardized Newgentek environment at the new site. Same tools, same security posture, same service standards. It's one of the biggest reasons multi-site operators work with us: every location feels like the original.
    What you get.

    • Standardized rollout playbook applied to new sites
    • Consistent technology experience across every location
    • Centralized management and reporting across multi-site operations
    • A single support team across all sites, not one per region

The Newgentek Build.

Every project follows the same five-step path — from the first site walk to the day after move-in. Whether it's a single conference room or a 50,000 sq ft facility, the process scales but doesn't change.

  1. Scope
Walk the site. Understand the use case and constraints.

  2. Design
Engineer the systems. Spec the cabling, network, AV, and security.

  3. Install
Cabling, equipment, programming. Coordinated with your GC.

  4. Commission
Test every endpoint, calibrate, train your team, sign off.

  5. Support
Warranty, ongoing help, and future expansions.

Whichever path is yours, start the same way.

A 15-minute call. We'll listen, ask a few questions, and tell you which engagement model fits the work, or whether someone else might be a better match.
