The technology trade on your project.
One team for IT, AV, and low-voltage cabling. On the drawings, in the room, on the schedule. A capabilities brief for architects, designers, engineers, general contractors, and project managers — five stages of how we work, and what we bring to each one. 3 PAGES · ~5 MINUTES · UPDATED APRIL 2026

Five stages, on every project.
The technology scope on a buildout, fit-out, or tenant improvement isn't one thing — it's five things, sequenced through the life of the project. Here's how Newgentek shows up at each one.
Design & engineering
01
We read architectural and MEP drawings — and we contribute to them. MDF and IDF locations sized correctly, conference rooms designed around viewing distance and platform requirements, low-voltage and data plans developed in coordination with the architect and GC. We don't draw conduit pathways — that's the electrical scope — but we'll mark daisy-chain runs on equipment we're installing. The decisions that cost nothing in the design phase and tens of thousands later get made here.
Coordination & rough-in
In the room for OAC meetings. Coordinated with the GC and other trades on rough-in windows — and we protect the window before drywall closes, every time, because we know what it costs to miss it. Not a vendor on a cut sheet. A trade on the schedule.
Installation & change management
03
Self-performed by our in-house team in Florida — IT, AV, and low-voltage cabling all under one roof, all on one team. For multi-site work outside the state, we coordinate through our national partner network — same scope, same standards, one accountable team. When scope shifts midproject (and it always does), our change-order process is documented and our team is staffed to absorb the adjustment without blowing the schedule.
Commissioning & closeout
04 Every cable certified. Every room tested by someone running an actual meeting on the platform it's designed for.
Long-term support
Day 366 matters as much as day one. Because we run a managed services practice alongside project work, the systems we install are designed to be supportable years out — not orphaned the day the GC demobilizes. The team that designed it is the team still answering the phone.

- Design & engineering: Reading drawings, MEP coordination, system specification.
- Low-voltage & structured cabling: FL-licensed (#ES12001614), permits pulled, self-performed in Florida; coordinated through our national partner network elsewhere.
- Audio-video design & install: Conference rooms, displays, distributed audio, signage.
- Network & infrastructure: Switching, wireless, firewalls, server room build-out.
- CCTV & video surveillance: IP camera design, install, and cloud-managed video. Standardized across multi-site.
- Managed services depth — supportable years out.

- Multi-trade projects where IT, AV, and low-voltage benefit from one accountable team rather than three vendors.
- Multi-location rollouts where standardization across sites matters as much as the individual install.
- Buildouts and tenant improvements where the timeline is real and the rough-in windows are tight.
- Projects where the design intent depends on systems that have to actually work — not just be installed.
- Anywhere your reputation is tied to the technology working when the doors open.
